It might surprise you that the last Republican president offered real solutions to end gun violence, not NRA talking points.
We’re still waiting to hear something like this from the 2016 GOP candidates.

New Report:
Online and Off the Record: Washington State’s Vast Internet Gun Market
We just released the results of an investigation that shows criminals in Washington State are flocking to gun classified websites where background checks are not required.
We found that one in ten people trying to buy a gun online in Washington State is prohibited under state or federal law from owning guns. And with more than 44,000 gun ads posted each year for guns without background checks, we know for a fact that guns are winding up in dangerous hands.
n Oregon, domestic abusers and meth users are evading background checks and buying guns online in plain sight. Federal law requires brick-and-mortar gun stores to run background checks on potential buyers and bars domestic abusers and criminals like this man from buying firearms. There is abundant evidence that this stops gun sales to dangerous people. But in Oregon, a gaping loophole in the law makes it easy for people like the Portland man to buy guns from unlicensed sellers who are not required to run background checks. As a result, there was nothing to stop this dangerous criminal from getting a gun from a stranger he met online, no questions asked. Learn more and take action.
Illustrations of some of the ridiculous things said during a recent gun safety hearing on strengthening background checks.
Closing a deadly loophole in federal background checks is the first and most important step Congress can take to stop guns from getting into the wrong hands.
