The Texas Legislature just cleared residents to legally carry guns on school campuses, and it’s readying legislation to legalize open carry everywhere in the state. But the pace of its reforms is tyrannically slow, according to longtime gun activist Kory Watkins, and in a new video, he says if lawmakers don’t speed up, they may face death.

Majority of Kroger Customers Want an End to Open Carry
After more than 300,000 petition signatures and nearly 13,000 phone calls demanding that the nation’s largest supermarket chain stop allowing the open carry of guns in its stores, a new poll conducted by Benenson Strategy Group released today shows 64 percent of Kroger shoppers polled believe people should not be able to openly carry guns in Kroger stores.
Despite this opposition to Kroger’s policy allowing open carry of firearms — and even though a majority of states allow people to openly carry firearms without a background check, training or permit — Kroger so far has sided with a small group of gun extremists and refused to change its policy.
While Kroger has not yet changed its open carry policy, in recent weeks, New Seasons Market, a chain of more than a dozen grocery stores located in Oregon and Washington, and Panera Bread recently joined other major brands, including Target, Starbucks, Chipotle, Sonic, Jack in the Box, and Chili’s, in asking guests to leave their firearms at home.

Panera Bread just announced that it’s adopting a gun sense policy in its 1,800+ cafes across the country!
Panera’s new policy says they want “bakery-cafes where customers and associates feel comfortable and welcome. To this end, we ask that guns not be brought into this environment unless carried by an authorized law enforcement officer.”

Open-Carry Gun Activist Arrested for Killing Husband and Stepdaughter
“Mama didn’t raise no victim”: That’s how a controversial Texas gun-rights group described one of its dedicated members last May. That activist was arrested Wednesday for allegedly murdering her estranged husband and stepdaughter, then driving herself to a mental hospital.
Authorities locked down a nearby elementary school as a precaution after discovering the bodies yesterday at the Arlington home Veronica Dunnachie, 35, had shared with her husband Russell, according to the Daily Mail. Dunnachie reportedly shot the Russell and his adult daughter from a previous marriage, but left three of her own children in the house unharmed.
Police found Dunnachie after the incident attempting to check herself into nearby Millwood Hospital, which “specializes in mental health and chemical dependency care,” according to CBSDFW.com.
Multiple reports say relations were strained and a divorce was imminent between Russell and Veronica, who lists an armed-guard service as her employer and who, according to relatives, had recently “become very distant, lost weight and become heavily involved in gun-rights activist groups.”
Indeed, Dunnachie’s Facebook account was full of images showing her shooting and participating in activities with the local chapter of Open Carry Texas, a Second Amendment group so provocative that even the NRA has distanced itself from the group’s tactics at times.
One man is here to open carry, the other to open fire.
