Two 15-year-old female students were fatally shot at Independence High School in Glendale, Arizona, this morning.
Police are still investigating the case, but it was not an active shooter situation when police arrived on the scene.

We’re turning America Orange!
Tomorrow’s the big day. Be sure to create your own #WearingOrange pledge image before it’s too late! http://every.tw/1FGiT0K
We’re turning America orange on TUESDAY
Why orange? The color orange symbolizes the value of human life. Hunters wear orange to alert other hunters that they’re there — as a way to take care of their own life and the lives of others. A couple of years ago, teens on the South Side of Chicago asked their classmates to wear orange in honor of a friend who was shot and killed. Now, we’re amplifying their call to action and turning orange into a symbol for the value of human life everywhere.
Take the pledge, and show the world why you’re #WearingOrange on Tuesday, June 2nd.
America’s Weak Gun Laws Are Arming Lone Wolf Terrorists
Researchers at Indiana State University examining incidents of lone wolf terrorism in the U.S. found that prior to the Al-Qaeda attacks on America on September 11, 2001, domestic terrorists more often used bombs to perpetuate their attacks. However, in the last 14 years, they have increasingly turned to guns as their primary weapon of choice.
On June 2 we’re turning America orange for Gun Violence Awareness Day.

This is HUGE! Oregon Governor Kate Brown just signed background checks into law!
Oregon is now the 18th state to require criminal background checks on all handgun sales – and the 12th to require them on all gun sales. This is an incredible victory for Oregon – but also for gun sense across the country – because it shows what happens when we come together and stand up to the gun lobby. Not only do we win, we win BIG.
